Save Your Money By Creating Your Own Mlm Lead Machine
There comes a time in your networkingcareer you will decide that you are not going to pay for a lead again..
I made that decision some time ago. It was a stuggle at first, but now I have created my own lead generation machine.
If you really think about it, buying MLM leads is just crazy. A few of the things that were making me crazy…
1. Lead duplication
I was paying for leads, and I was getting multiple leads for the same person.
2. Leads sold to more than one person..
The lead company would sell the lead to so many people that the lead itself got upset from so many people calling
3. Non converting leads
Let’s face it, if your leads don’t convert, they’re useless.
4. Prospect “Not Interested”
Just because they filled out a form online doesn’t mean that they are interested in my opportunity.
5. Poor quality prospects
Bribed leads.Prospects filled out the form because they were entered into a drawing or got some sort of “bonus” that had nothing to do with your what you are selling.
Prospects thought they were applying for a traditional job
People that are out of work
Prospects that are flat broke. I’m not against being broke, I’ve been there, but some of these people it seems to be a lifestyle choice!.
When I first decided that I wasn’t going to purchase leads ever again, I had to change my whole concept of marketing. I figured that the reason that the lead companies were making money, is because it cost less to produce the lead than it did to sell it.
Deep down I knew there had to be a better way. I started doing a ton of research. I was looking everywhre to get as much knowledge as I could on internet marketing and lead generation. I knew that the company I was working for offered a great opportunity and solid products, but I just never seemed to have enough leads.
I spent a lot of time and money on my education!!
I learned the mistakes of my failures, and kept track of what worked.
This is basically what I learned.
We have to turn the marketing funnel upside down, by getting qualified prospects to come to us.. I read (and purchased) much of Mike Dillards’ Magnetic Sponsoring materials (I would highly recommened) Mike’s materials focus on becoming a leader.
Everyone loves a winner and a leader We want to put our trust into someone who has “been there and done that” We look to people that have made the accomplishments that we want to make and we model those people.
Being an expert in a particular area draws people to you. When you need to go to the doctor, you go to someone that has a degree and a reputation right? You don’t go to someone with no expertise when you need professional medical advice.
It’s similar in all aspects of life. We like to follow a leader. We want to get advice from the best people in thier field..
Although there are many avenues to pursue when it comes to Attraction Marketing but, a key concept is Article Marketing.
This is something you could implement almost immediately for virtually no costs, and start generating your own leads.. Here is the basic idea of article marketing.
Someone looks for a keyword or topic in one of the search engines or article directories.
Articles come up in the search based on the keyword. The prospect clicks on a few of those and reads them.
Let’s say he is intriqued by one article in particular, and he wants to find out more information. He clicks on one of the links at the bottom of the article to learn more.
