The Truth About Pay Per Click Search Advertising

When first trying to obtain traffic to your website, a good SEO campaign is the best place to start. I’d compare SEO to online marketing, but let’s talk about SEO vs. a pay per click advertising program.

SEO can really bring a lot of traffic to your new website. As a SEO expert, I’ve found that the way you can go about getting indexed into the search engine is an amazing thing. Here is some great new for those of you who are just starting out your business. You can obtain a lot of high quality traffic with SEO.

What is the difference between SEO and a pay per click advertising program? It’s a whole brand new ball game. It’s also different than any other kind of internet advertising that you may do. Your limited to just the selected keyword phrases that you pick with SEO, whereas with the pay per click advertising program, your ad gets blasted out to a whole lot of people that are interested in buying your product or service.

Let’s say that you have a search term of losing weight. With SEO, your only limited to the keyword loosing weight. If someone typed in the word belly fat, you wouldn’t reach that potential customer. In order to rank well for that word it would depend on how many people are typing that word into the search engines.

After you have done some testing and you have a product or service that has a high conversion rate, you can really begin to get frustrated with SEO because you’re limited to what keyword phrase someone is typing into the search engines. The pay per click advertising program has no limitations. Paid traffic your dealing with banner ads, pop-ups, newsletter advertising and the like and funneling in traffic that is wide open where as the SEO route is going to be limited to some extend.

There comes a point where if you are really good with SEO that you can generate a few thousand hits per day, but there comes a point where you just want more. What pay per click advertising programs brings to you is the ability to generate more traffic. You can take your pay per click advertising program and generate something like 2,000 hits per hour.

With SEO you have to worry about how many backlinks you have to obtain to get to rank well for a certain term and that takes time to climb the ladder, whereas a pay per click advertising program has the ability to generate tons of traffic to your brand new website in an unlimited amount of time.

All you have to do is make a few nice banner ads to test out to see which one works the best. Then you just stick them all into a rotation of some sort. Whatever banner works the best you keep and get rid of the ones that don’t work well. These are just some of the tips that I have when you’re dealing with pay per click.
