New websites can and sometimes do naturally generate thousands of links in a short time when they are successfully and shrewdly launched.

Canonicalization And Duplicate Content.
Both duplicate content and canonical content can critically impede your websites ranking potential, its always a great idea to check your entire websites content using a duplicate content dection tool like plagium or copyscape. Any duplicate content that you find should either be rewritten or if you are positive that someone else has taken your content without consent, then you can ask them to delete it. If they say no, you can then file a copyright infringement notice under the digital millennium copyright act with google and yahoo. Canonical content, is content that is duplicated either exactly, or closely enough to be a problem within your own domain, this is a common problem with e commerce sites that operate in multiple currencies, to correct canonical issue’s you can use the rel=canonical attribute to let search engines know which is the right version of the page to rank and which pages should be ignored. Canonical issues can also arise when the non www domain name is not redirected to www. this is easily fixed by adding a redirect in the ht access of your domain.
