You have spent countless hours writing content for your website. It is a well designed site or blog, slick, has the most recent social media buttons added and is basically a seamless experience for those that visit. You’ve decided to integrate Google AdSense, hoping not only to boost your site but to make a few dollars on the side. After a week, you’ve checked your AdSense account and are a little dismayed to note that your account only has a few dollars in it, not enough to withdraw to your bank account. You are ready to remove AdSense from your site/blog and put it down to a failed attempt. STOP! Before you do, the question to ask yourself, did you integrate AdSense properly into your site/blog? Have you done your research on your target audience? Have you tweaked your AdSense Ads to maximize the opportunities for your viewers to click.
Here are some tips to help you increase your revenue from the AdSense.
- Make sure your ads look like part of the content. We are not into deception so what we’re saying is that do not make the ads blatant, as people will automatically turn off. What maybe surprising is that people respond better to the text ads. Banners typically have a response of 0.5% which is very poor meaning you would need copious amounts of traffic to your site to make any considerable money. Your AdSense ads should appear seamlessly integrated into the content.
- Remove border ads. Much like the above point, if you presently have borders around you AdSense ads, remove them and blend them into the same color as your site’s backdrop.
- Placement is essential to increasing clicks. There is no point on placing the ads at the bottom of the page if people have to read through large amounts of text to get there. The average person spends less than 30 seconds scanning a site for anything that catches their eye. If you don’t do it in that time, you have lost them. So placement is important. Right next to the body of text or a headline will be appropriate. But again, you don’t want to make it blatantly obvious that it’s an advertisement. So make sure you are able to distinguish that fine line.
- Your site is niche targeted. This means that your site/blog has content that targets a certain topic. By doing this, the Google AdSense Ads will contain Ads that are relevant to your readers. Relevance is the key word here. You will be surprised at the ads that come up. I run a free stuff site and since I target the topic of free stuff, the advertisements are closely aligned and highly relevant for my readers.

A week ago, I wrote an article which was the first part of a two part series on fine-tuning Adsense to maximize your potential gains. If you missed it, you can get read it at http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?topic=11826&uid=176388282635. Today I conclude the topic with a couple more tips on helping you to maximize your revenue just that little bit more.
1) In the same way where Google likes content to be refreshed as frequently as possible, alternate between “image only” and “text only” advertisements. If it appears like the adverts are changing you will avoid advertising fatigue, and your click through rate will increase.
2) Integrate the AdSense code into your page so that the ads look like a normal part of your site. If it stands out too much, your visitors will know it is a deliberate advertisement and switch off.
3) Use the 4 and 5 link ad units wherever possible. Anecdotally they appear to have a much higher Click Through Rate than usual style advertisements. I haven’t done any official research but did notice that when I switched from the original 1 and 2 link ads to the 4 and 5 link ads that there was an immediate increase in click thru traffic. It does peak but stabilises at a Click Through Rate higher than previous.
4) If you want to exploit your earnings use the maximum multiple AdSense ads allowed which is 3 regular AdSense ads and 1 additional link unit. Again as I pointed out previously, use careful placement of these ads so they blend into your site and don’t divert from your content. By using the greatest number of advertisement boxes, your visitors will have viewed a variety of ads, not just the highest bidding advertisements. This again will relieve your customers from viewer fatigue. You can view an example at my free stuff site www.freestuff4free.com.
5) Customise your content to a particular niche or focus. Page content that is tailored towards a specific theme or key word will trigger Google ads that closely match the content and are therefore more likely to interest your visitors and inspire them to click. An example is free stuff or freebies sites. You will notice that the Google advertisements will automatically display companies that are either giving away something, running a contest or another freebie site trying to entice you away from your current site.
Hopefully you would have picked up on some good pointers to help you out in terms of increasing your revenue. Some formats and colors will work better than others, but you won’t know which until you test, do some research using analytics and adsense reporting and continue to tweak.

Adsense is one of the main sources of monetizing a website. This program is offered by Google to the website owners who decide to display Google ads on their website. Google pays the website owners a portion of the income generated from those ads. If you want to participate in the Google adsense program, here are very simple steps that will help you to get approved for the program within five hours:
1. In order to become a Google adsense publisher first you need to get an adsense publisher ID.
2. You need to have a website before you apply for an adsense publisher ID. Choose a niche that you have a good understanding about. Create a website with some useful content relating to your niche. A website with 20 to 30 pages is good enough. If you have difficulty in writing you can grab some relevant articles from free article directories. There are many free article directories on the net including Ezine, Go Article, and Article Base.
3. Once you have created your website you need to host it. You can select any domain name for your website but it is better if it reflects the name of your website. There are several cheap webhosting providers e.g. JustHost, Godaddy, NamesCheap where you can register and host your website at the same time.
4. Check your website for the broken links because they can cause your application to be rejected. Check broken links with the broken link checker at dead-links.com. This is important from marketing point of view too, somebody is coming to your website for information but when he clicks on the link he got “page not found” message. Do you think he will be returning to you website? The chances are very rare!
5. Verify your website with Google Webmaster tool. This way you tell Google that you are the owner of the website and authorized to make changes to the site.
6. Create a sitemap for your website and submit that to Google. By submitting sitemap you inform search engines about pages on your site that are available for crawling. You can use free online sitemap generator at XML-Sitemaps.com or if you have time try Google Sitemap Generator.
7. A lot of internet “experts” claim that a website needs to have some traffic before it is approved for Google adsense. However, my experience says that you may not necessarily need the traffic. It really depends on you whether you want to follow the majority or not.
8. The last step is signing up for Google adsense, visit https://www.google.com/AdSense and click on the “Sign up now” button. You will be taken to the application form where you will need to supply the URL of your website, your name, contact details, email address and account type (individual/business). Make sure that you are providing the correct information.
If you follow the above steps you can get your adsense publisher ID in less than 5 hours. If your application is not approved at the first attempt, you can always tweak things and apply again.

1. Explore New Advertising Methods
The first sign that you might need to explore new marketing strategies, is a sharp decline in the effectiveness of your advertisment campaign. Yeah, you shell out a lot of hard earned cash to advertise, and the public turns its nose up! Don’t wait until your profits are plunging to start hunting for new marketing strategies.
Keep searching for the pot of gold. The whirlwind of change that continuously sweeps through the marketplace offers great opportunity for discovering new advertising mediums. Be on the lookout for one that will set you up for brand new heights of success.
Here’s the rule of thumb for advertising: Keep 80 percent of your advertising budget invested in the “tried and true” methods that bring in a steady flow of profit, and invest 20 percent into the exploration of new ways to get your message to potential customers.
2. Be On The Lookout For New Markets
Be alert! Diversification is the key to staying on the cutting edge of an everchanging marketplace. You’ll be insulating yourself against the effects of these changes by continuously changing as well. And hey… you never know when a brand new market will translate into millions of dollars in sales!
You don’t have to go out on a limb to reach new markets. There are marketing niches within the market you are currently dealing with. Think of it like this…your market can be subdivided into several narrowly defined markets. A Multi Level Marketing company may notice that many of its prospects are stay-at-home moms and retirees. Hey a few advertisments directed at the right people…two additional Web pages targeting stay-at-home moms and retirees linked to their home page…and they’ve effectively customized their markets and are likely to see a 20 percent increase in sales.
3. Invest In New Products or Services
Have you noticed a continuously progressing slump in the sales and profits of a product or service you currently offer? It’s no sweat if you have other products and services to fill the gap. Keep a sharp eye out for new products and services that complement what you already have to offer.
A bridal shop owner may have a humming business that sells gowns and veils, but what about tuxedos? Wouldn’t it be easier for the wedding party to get everything in one place? Tuxedos aren’t just for weddings…proms and parties call for bow ties and tails as well. The potential is expansive. All you need to do is to stay on top of everything to keep succeeding online.
Yeah, you don’t have to be intimidated by clever competition and new technology when you stay on the edge, and make changes with it. Try these 3 strategies to keep you sales numbers vibrant and climbing!

Google AdSense is a great way to supplement your web site’s income and if you haven’t already signed up, then you need to do it this instant! So what exactly is Google AdSense?
AdSense is an ad serving application run by Google. Website owners can enroll in this program to enable text, image, and video advertisements on their websites. These advertisements are governed by Google and generate revenue on either a per-click. You essentially sign up for free, paste some code on your website and every time an individual clicks the links on your site, you get paid a certain amount per click. Some clicks are worth more than others depending on the keyword the advertisement is targeting. This is because AdSense are contextually based ads, meaning that they show the links for people to click on based on the theme of your website.
For example if you have a website about free stuff then the advertisements AdSense will display will be generally be about free samples. Google is so intelligent they rotate the ads automatically and each ad contains advertisers that relate to the theme of the page. When a visitor to your site clicks on an ad you make a small commission. This could range from a few cents to several dollars on each click dependent on the site’s subject.
To maximise your earnings with AdSense follow a few simple instructions:
1) Adapt your page matter to a particular niche or focus. As you should know, page content that is tailored towards a specific theme is much more likely to trigger AdSense ads that closely match the content and is more likely to spark interest from your readers to click. My site focuses on free stuff, and often when I check the ads by Adsense closely align with my site’s content.
2) Blend your ads into your site’s theming. People are so conscious of advertisements that they’ll look over your AdSense ads if you make them look too much like actual ads. Remove the background and the border of your ads and make them merge with your own site’s background.
3) Never click on your own ads! It is enticing to earn that potential revenue for yourself but as we’ve mentioned before Google is clever and will find out and you’ll have your account suspended and you won’t get a payout.
If you just apply these 3 simple and effective tips, you will see an increase in your Google AdSense revenue and be well on your way to earning a sustainable second income.

Adsense is a business among other businesses a powerful publisher. Adsense allows for any website or blog owners generate revenue from the Internet with ease. If executed with proper, adsense can provide substantial income for the wearer. But if this business does not run properly, all this will only waste your time-bunag.
So, how to make money from Adsense? It all can be done very easily and quickly.
Starting with making a good content with some keywords that have high value. Many people who have the ability to create a content or a good article, but they did not get the results in accordance with their wishes.
Actually there are several things you must take before you place your Adsense ads on your website or blog.
We recommend that you do Keyword Research. Find the subject, keywords and phrases that are popular. You can use the software to do keyword analyze this task.
After you specify a keyword, start time to create a content or an article. Make an article that really pure your own work, and do not forget to use keywords that relate to the theme of your website in the article. Remember, search engine system is concerned the article or content, or content on a website. So make the article by following the standards of the search engines.
Now it’s time to put adsense ads on your website or blog. Try to put your adsense ads places that you think strategically, places that you think is easy to be seen by the visitors your website or blog. Based on the results of the survey, a good position in put your adsense ads are positioned where visitors while seeing your website, they can immediately see the adsense ads. And based on the survey is the position at the top left position (Top Left Position).
And last, adsense has statistical tracking system that allows you, webmasters and publishers to analyze how many visitors from the site by site, page by page or from any side in any way you want. With this tool allows you to analyze each strategy you implement. If you fail with this strategy you can menggunanakan other strategies and so on.
But the few ways above, a very good way is to always update the content of your website. This method is very effective to increase Hit and ranking of your website on a system of search engines, Google in particular. Google is like content (the contents of the website) is always in Upadate. But you also have to really pay attention so that no double content or similar content. Because if there is a double content, your website will be difficult to be detected by a system of search engines (Google especially). Google does not like double content.
Also more and more content (content) on your website, your website more easily detected by Google and if you do this consistently then slowly but surely rank of your website on a search engine will increase.
Hopefully this information useful for you. You can find more tips about this at my website: bisnis online and bisnis di internet in indonesian language.

First sign up for Google and set up an adwords account. Most people think this is very expensive but if you only list your ads on content sites and only bid $0.05 a click you will still be able to get targeted traffic at a low price.
We understand what it means when someone says, “Don’t get your cart before your horse,” but often that’s just what we do when we’re looking for a niche market. We find a product we want to market and then we begin looking for folks to market to.
Instead, the first thing you must do is find a market; a group of people you know something about. Or maybe it’s a group you want to know something about. Either way, your niche is the people and their needs, wants and desires.
Are you interested in cuddly little pets? Or do your interest run more towards your not so cuddly pets; maybe reptiles. Do you love cars? Maybe you have a Porsche passion. If you’re single maybe you’re interested in dating or single parent issues. In any case, your first mission is to find a group of people you want to provide services and products for; that’s your market.
Next, you must find out what they want. Look up forums, groups, email lists and blogs for your market group and find out the problems they face and the type products or services this market is looking for. You should be a groupie; first to find out what your customer wants and then later to publicize your website. (For a list of the best Newsgroups, Forums, E-Mail Lists and Blogs, check the authors resource box below.)
As you’re doing this, make a list of the different words they use to describe the products and services they want. These will be your ‘keywords’ when you write your webpage. These are the words your new potential clients will key into the search engines to find the products you will be offering.
Then use a keyword tool such as the overture suggestion tool to find out how many people are searching each month on keywords your niche group was interested in. Find out if there is a strong enough demand for products to this group.
And last but not least, it’s time to find a product. You know what your group is looking for; you now understand their problems. Go to Clickbank, Commission Junction or PayCotCom and look for products to meet the needs of your group. Or better yet, develop a product yourself.
Remember the most important factor in online marketing, or any type marketing anywhere, is to help your customer. Now having found your customers and their needs as you have, finding or writing content for your website is a breeze. Those in your market will flock to your site for your information; and then, while they’re there, they’ll buy.
If you help enough other people get what they want; you’ll get what you want. Build you business to help the people in your particular niche and you’ll stand out from the crowd. Marketing, whether it’s for a niche or the masses, is all about people.
Email List Management – Email List Building – Email Marketing Service
When it comes to a successful PPC Campaign, the keywords are the foundation on which everything else is built. Using a copious amount of the keyword research tools available from Google and others, it’s fairly simple to come up with a list of keywords that relate to the products or services you provide. One of the biggest things that many amateurs and professionals alike, miss is Keyword Match Types.
When it comes to PPC Advertising, there are three types Keword Match Types that you can use to tailor your keyword bids. By being detail oriented in regards to these match types means the difference between a profitable campaign and a failed one. The three match types are “Broad”, “Phrase”, and “Exact”. What is each match type, and how can you use each to your advantage in your pay-per-click campaigns?
1. Match Type: Broad – For broad keyword matching, the search engines make assumptions about the intent of the searcher. Let’s illustrate the broad match strategy using the keyword “buy furniture”. Your ad could be triggered by a search for “bedroom furniture”, “furniture repair”, or “furniture store” for example. However, a search for “Dining Room Table” or “Free Sofa” could also trigger your ad because the search engines know that these terms are related to the term furniture. In summary, Broad Match Keywords can be costly and ineffective if they aren’t closely monitored and managed. When you add keywords into your Google account, they are automatically classified as Broad Match unless you specify otherwise.
2. Match Type: Phrase – For phrase matching, the terms being searched must contain your keywords to trigger your ads. As a result, far fewer assumptions are made by the search engines and the clicks you receive are usually more relevant. Using the “buy furniture” example above, phrase matching would trigger your ad if the term “where to buy furniture” or “buy furniture repair business” were searched. Your specific keywords must appear in the search term, but additional words can be placed before or after your phrase. Phrase Match keywords generate fewer impressions, but in general, produce more relevant results. When you add keywords into your Google account enclosed by “quotes” they are classified as Phrase Match.
3. Exact Match Type – The Exact Match method is the most precise overall for bidding purposes. With exact matching, the phrase being searched must match your keyword phrase precisely and cannot contain any additional keywords before or after your phrase. For the “buy furniture” example, your ads would only be triggered if that exact term were searched upon. Exact match generates far less impressions but the results are almost perfectly matched to your intent. When you add keywords into your Google account enclosed by [brackets] they are classified as Exact Match.
Like most things in life, there is a lot more to it to running successful Adword Campaign. Careful consideration of the mindset of your target audience can help you determine the Keyword Match Type that best fits your goals.
The advice I recommend to anyone starting an Adwords campaign is to do your homework. Please do not have the let’s just “wing it” mentality and see what happens. Do your research and learn as much as you can about online advertising specifically money management and using negative keywords.
For some time, I’ve been utilising Google Adsense on my site as a form of income. Whilst it’s not something I would give up my day job over, a couple of dollars here and there fast turns into a couple of hundred dollars a month. Can’t scoff at that.
But here’s the fantastic thing – no matter how much money AdSense is making for you right now, a few easy steps can increase that amount substantially. I read an article recently which I decided to implement and execute and managed to increase my Adsense income by 20%! If it’s that simple and there are tricks and tips on how to increase that revenue, then why not?
This is Part 1 that contains a selection of tips to help maximise your income from Adsense. Part 2 will be released shortly.
1) If you haven’t already done so, you must colour code your ads to match your web site palette exactly. Human psychology plays into this and research has demonstrated that people will click more willingly when adverts appear to be part of your site and not a stand alone function. Don’t use frames around your ads as that isolates the ads. Instead, in the AdSense code generation settings, make sure you choose the identical colour as your page background for the ad frame and the ad background. When choosing the adverts heading colours, match them to the equivalent colour of your page titles. Use the equivalent ad background shade as your page background. In addition, use the matching ad text font and colour as the wording on your pages. This one single tweak will possibly make the greatest difference to your click conversion rates.
2) Adapt your page matter to a particular niche or focus. As you should know, page content that is tailored towards a specific theme is much more likely to trigger AdWords ads that closely match the content and is more likely to spark interest from your readers to click. My site focuses on free samples, and often when I check the ads by Adsense closely align with my site’s content. It’s amazing!
3) Anecdotal study indicates that the horizontal banner design or leaderboard image ads are ineffective. This is possibly because they were the original ads and therefore people know it’s blatant advertising. So make sure you use the text based or vertical image adverts.
4) Get tips using Google’s own AdSense research at https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/static.py?page=tips.html to aid you in deciding where on to place the AdSense ad code. Placement is important. It needs to flow and feel like a part of the site.
5) Research competitive keywords using a keyword research or grab a list of the most popular keywords from various sources and use them in your web site pages where relevant. Targeting popular keywords will trigger AdSense ads on your pages that optimize those keywords. So the more popular the keyword or phrase, the higher AdWords advertisers are willing to pay per click therefore resulting in greater commissions.
Be on the lookout for Part 2 in a couple of days.

Below are some tips to help you optimize your pages to make them more Adsense-friendly. Note that these tips deal with ad delivery rather than ad formatting or placement. While ad formatting and placement may affect ad click-through rates, they have nothing to do with the delivery of relevant ads to your site. Your site must display relevant ads before they have any chance of being clicked on.
1. Avoid too much content on a page
If Adsense does not understand what is your page is about, it cannot deliver ads targeted to its content. Although a human being can easily tell what a web page is about by taking a glance at it, computer algorithms are no so intelligent. If your page contains too much content, chances are that it also contains too many seemingly unrelated keywords. Adsense becomes confused and displays PSAs or ads unrelated to the topic of your page. Try dividing the page into smaller ones, each focusing on just a few related keywords.
2. Avoid too little content on a page
If your page contains lots of graphics and very little text, Adsense may have a hard time figuring out what it is about. This is especially true when the bulk of your content is derived from graphics and scripts. When possible, use text rather than graphics to display website names, page titles, and headline texts. Make certain to include your keywords in the title of your page and repeat them throughout the page. Avoid hiding your text through sneaky tactics, such as using tiny fonts or making your text the same color as the background. This may be construed by search engines as spam.
3. Repeat keywords that you are targeting
Keyword repetition makes it easier for Adsense to decipher what your page is about. Do this in moderation as excessive repetition may be considered spam by the search engines. Excessive repetition may also make your writing sound awkward to the human reader. Instead of repeating the same keyword more than 5 or 6 times on a page, use synonyms and related keywords. For example, instead of repeating “Adsense optimization” 20 times, you might try alternative phrases like “increase Adsense revenues” or “earn more from Adsense”.
4. Avoid acronyms
I once wrote an article on pay-per-click advertising for one of my sites. When I uploaded the article to my site, I was surprised to find that all of the ads showing on the page were for Apple computer products and had nothing to do with pay-per-click. It later occurred to me that instead of repeating “pay-per-click” over and over in the article, I used the acronym “PPC” numerous times. As it turned out, “PPC” also stands for “PowerPC”, Apple’s line of Power Macintosh computers, which explained why I was getting all the Apple related ads. When I replaced all the “PPCs” with “pay-per-click” and “pay per click”, the problem went away.
5. Choose keywords with commercial value
You may get public service announcements rather than paid ads if your page deals with a subject matter whose keywords no one bids on. A remedy for this is to incorporate keywords with commercial value into your manuscript. For instance, if your page is on some obscure medical condition, you might try sprinkling a few drug names into your document to make it display paid ads rather than PSAs.
